The Tierra Del Sol resort offers the island’s only 18-hole golf course, but it’s a championship level course. The par-71, 6,811-yard course was created by Robert Trent Jones and hosts the Aruba Aces Championship, a senior PGA tour event. The facilities also include a leaderboard, track skins for groups, a practice range, chipping area, and putting greens. What’s the problem? They have more renters than they have villas. “Our selling techniques are so successful,” says Smillie, an Aruba golf vacation specialist, “that now we have a shortage of villas.
