Date of stay: December 2012 Aruba Villa Vacation Homes offer the best service on Aruba. We have vacationed in Aruba for 20 years, initially staying at hotels or timeshares. About 7/8 years ago, we discovered Tierra Del Sol, and have been renting a home there each year since. However, they have raised their rates far greater than the state of the global economy can justify! So when searching for other options, we noticed a home we had stayed in at Tierra was now available through Aruba Villa Vacation Homes at a far better rate. All it took was one email to Matthew Smillie and we were on our way. Before we arrived, Matthew and team kept us informed of the process and when any payments were due. We confirmed our time of arrival in Aruba the day before we left, and planned to call the office once we arrived. But Izaira, also on the team, was already at the home to ensure everything was ready for us! She is very friendly, explained the workings of the home, and updated us on what was happening in Aruba. We were quite thrilled with our stay. When Izaira met us at the home to pick up the keys before we left, we promised to work with her, Matthew and Anna to find our home for 2012. So when we began the rental process the following April 2012 for our December stay, we decided to go with the same home. However, unbeknown to the team, the owners had planned to stay there during the time we planned to be there but we had already booked our flights, so we really did not want to change our schedules. Well, Matthew and Anna could not have been more accommodating and apologetic, and found us a better home in Tierra for the same price. And boy were we happy about that, and even more so with the house they found for us. It was perfect. When compared with other rental groups, we can say with confidence that we are extremely comfortable with and have a great deal of confidence in Matthew and his team. We will only use them from now on to help us plan our trips to Aruba. In our opinion, they can not be beat. Give them a try. We are sure you wont be disappointed! |

Date of stay: 2nd September EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS We just returned from a two week vacation in Aruba and although we've rented private accommodations in Aruba for the past half dozen vacations, this was the first time we've stayed in Tierra del Sol. Make no mistake: this is a class act from start to finish. We were met at the guard house (Tierra del Sol is a gated community) by our contact, Olga, who was unfazed that we arrived early, and followed her to our home for the next two weeks. She took time to show us the property: Aruba Dreams was everything we had hoped for and more. A very spacious 4 bedroom house, it came with all the advertised amenities (microwave, gas stove, oven, fridge with ice/water dispenser, washer/dryer, central air) and the backyard view was like a picture postcard. The house was spotless upon our arrival and features four bedrooms with adjustable air-conditioning, superior beds with duvets and extra blankets, and no shortage of bathroom and beach towels. There are three bathrooms, each with their own showers (and the master bathroom had a full length tub). The electrical outlets/overhead lighting was perfect to support two fussy women (and the man of the house enjoyed excellent WiFi response on his iPAD while he waited!). Olga gave us a set of phone numbers should we encounter any issues, which we used (I'm rather embarrassed to admit) when we stopped up one of the toilets. As promised, the maintenace man came within 10 minutes of our call, and as with all the staff we encountered from the Tierra's gate staff to the property mgmt staff, he was extremely polite and responsive to all our questions. As promised, the pool was cleaned twice weekly. Although part of the Tierra del Sol community, we rarely saw our neighbours and the feeling of seclusion was serene. Our favourite place was in the backyard in the comfortable seating area, where we overlooked the golf course and saw the Aruba landscape and abundance of wildlife just outside the walls: from swooping swallows to graceful egrets, the elusive Aruba Troupial and yellow Bananaquits to the little iguanas that occasionally visited. The property mgmt team is superb: professional, responsive, timely - the perfect complement to the perfect house. We would definitely recommend this rental, and hope to return next year! |

Date of stay: 29th March 2012 The villa and amenities surpassed our expectations. The villa is comfortable, clean,and well equipped and well maintained. We had a fantastic holiday in Aruba. Tierra del Sol was a perfect location and the island was very safe. Thank you Anna for all your help and advice. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa and will be back for a return visit! |

Date of stay: October 2011 My brother's family and mine spent a week in this gorgeous and spacious house. It was exactly what we were looking for: privacy, quietness, plenty of space, perfect equipment, cosy terrace with spectacular view on nature and nice pool, plenty of opportunities to beaches or restaurants. Everybody had fun, the little ones and the adults. If you're looking for a balance between relaxation and water activities it's the place to go. We felt at home in this villa and would love to go back. |
