Living in a world where Yoga is considered for the young, the hippies and the restless is far gone. Yoga as we know it today is widely evolved from its origins in ancient India. The physical benefits have shown to be the main reason why Yoga attracts so many new practitioners. Yoga can be divided into many different forms, of which the most popular is Hatha Yoga following the success of Yoga Gurus introducing this practice to the west.

Aruba would not be Aruba, if it did not participate in the latest trends all across the world. With different possibilities, yoga can now be practiced on one of the Aruba Rock formations, beaches, lagoons and waters. Yes, waters. The latest trend in Yoga practice is SUP Yoga; perfectly combining two of the latest physical trends. Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Yoga. Swedish native Rachel Brathen gives you this possibility. After moving to Aruba in 2010, she is one of the first people in the world to take yoga from a mat and onto a paddleboard. You can join one of her classes, or take part in a course of becoming a certified SUP Yoga teacher. She organizes SUP yoga retreats, master classes and workshops.
