We stayed at this lovely home with two other couples in early December. We've been renting Tierra del Sol homes for our Aruba vacations for some time now, this was the largest house we've rented. It comfortably housed three adult couples (and could have held more), and is located in the prestigious La Colina section of Tierra del Sol. The house is surrounded by large, luxurious homes that border the golf course and rugged terrain of Aruba with unobstructed views. As usual, when we arrived we were met by a representative of Aruba Villa Vacation Homes, Elisa, who showed us the home's features (including wifi). All of our Aruba vacation home rentals have been through this company; they're a class act and we wouldn't consider renting through anyone else. A very spacious house, it came with all the advertised amenities (microwave, gas stove, oven, fridge with ice dispenser, washer/dryer, central air, kettle and coffee maker) and the backyard view was like a picture postcard. The house offered an indoor waterfall (with an on/off switch!) and a TV in the living room, although we didn't use either much. The house was spotless upon our arrival and features superior beds with duvets and no shortage of bathroom and pool towels. Each bedroom has its own ensuite: the upstairs master with a full shower, whirlpool bath and very generous counter space; the bedroom ensuites downstairs have a shower/tub combination or a standalone shower. Hot water was plentiful and the water pressure was perfect: better than we have back home. The outdoor infinity pool was lovely and the whirlpool also had a heater - bonus for cooler Aruba night sessions. We opted not to go for maid service, and the pool was cleaned twice weekly as promised. La Colina is a newer section of Tierra del Sol and features larger homes, some of which are still under construction, but I have to say any related noise/activity was minimal and did not affect us. The gated driveway to the home easily accommodated parking three vehicles. For nature lovers, we were regularly visited by troupials, vividly orange birds who seem to favour the cactus just outside the back yard wall. Emerald hummingbirds loved the floral in the front of the house. All in all, we spent a wonderful 10 nights in this home!

Nightlife in Aruba is something many have never experienced. A shame. While some would say that nightlife in Aruba is comparable to nightlife in other Caribbean islands, why not take a different approach? The Palm Beach and Oranjestad areas are the places to be when you want to make sure you’ll have some crazy stories to tell back home.

Aruba might only be 20 miles long and 6 miles wide, but this small Caribbean island still has a lot to explore. Apart from the swimming, snorkeling, diving and waterskiing, there are many secret spots left to discover inlands as well.
